Amy performed at Jacob's Pillow in August with Valorie Green /Dance Entropy as part of the In/Out series. She also recently completed the Hot Warrior Yoga 200 hour certification program in upstate New York. In November, Amy will graduate from The Center for Natural Wellness Massage Therapy School. She looks forward to the continuation of teaching dance and yoga and integrating massage work to help bring peace, wellness, balance, and harmony to all.
ANI JAVIAN
I moved to Columbus, Ohio to begin my MFA work in Dance at The Ohio State University on a department fellowship. It was, of course, sad to leave NYC and the life I made over the last seven years, but I am thrilled to be a Buckeye! School has been challenging and inspiring already, I look forward to the next three years as an opportunity to develop my artistry and deepen my understanding of this most wonderful art!
BETSY MILLER
Betsy is currently living in Rhode Island, where she is on faculty at Providence College, and dances with Fusionworks, Rhode Island’s only modern dance repertory company. This summer, she began collaborating with Washington, D.C.-based dancer/choreographer Matthew Cumbie on a new duet: "these islands are perfectly fine,” which was shown as a work-in-progress at the Bates Dance Festival. In addition to continuing work on "islands,” Betsy will present an evening of new and restaged works this spring in a shared concert with Ali Kenner Brodsky.
CARA LIGUORI
Cara has been dancing with Phillipa Kaye Company. The Company performed at Brooklyn’s Center for Performance Research in April and spent the summer improvising at outdoor sites along the Hudson River, in McCarren and Riverside Parks, and the Highline. Cara is also working with Kathy Wasik, and exploring an interest in integrating movement with text and sound through physical and action theater workshops. She continues to work at The Field, (New York’s preeminent artist service organization), now serving as their Development and Special Events Manager.
